After a few days of being a Dmusic artist, I'm still wondering how it works. The purpose of having an artist site in the first place is publicity for your music. But the whole concept of DM picks vs. the bin seems to be just the opposite. It seems that new music is considered in a 'trash pile' until it gets enough notice to be put in the bin. Then it's another deal to become a DM pick. Why not have listings by genre of EVERY artist, then one chart per genre based on number of plays, etc? If the point is to allow artists to expose their music to the public, ditch this multi-tiered nonsense.
